The original lamps sell in the finest international auction houses and this design won an award at the "La lampada più" contest of 1975 at the XII Salon of Domestic Arts. Original design made for Valenti, Italy. This lamp is one of the icons of Contemporary Design and is beautiful even when it is not lit. A spectrum of light is emitted from the half chromed bulb in the center as well as the reflective mirrored tentacles. Can be used as a wall sconce or table lamp. We recommend that an electrician hard wire the wall sconce and ceiling applications. Comes with standard plug for table applications.
